Janine joined the RCD in the beginning of 2022 with a diverse background in natural resources, with a passion in intersecting the components of human dimensions in natural resource management. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland in Sociology, focusing on social stratification, and is in the last year of her graduate program from the University of Idaho for a Master’s in Natural Resources. Janine completed a fellowship with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service that investigated several hydrogeomorphic classification systems in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough in Anchorage, Alaska to determine more effective management objectives and methods for Alaska’s public lands. She has lived in Siskiyou County for many years and has had the pleasure to work for and with many agencies and organizations in the local community with a diverse range of roles. Janine is excited to join the RCD and continue strengthening relationships within the community.
