Notice of Determination: West Mount Shasta Forest Resiliency Project
Shasta Valley RCD filed a Notice of Determination for the West Mount Shasta Forest Resiliency Project. This project will implement vegetation treatments on up to 12,966 acres of land in the Upper Sacramento Watershed west of Mount Shasta from I-5 to the Shasta-Trinity National Forest boundary. The proposed treatment types (i.e., ecological restoration, wildland-urban interface [WUI] fuel reduction, fuel breaks) and the treatment activities (i.e., prescribed burning, mechanical treatments, manual treatments, herbicide application) are consistent with those evaluated in the CalVTP PEIR.
