Lyndsey Lascheck

Lyndsey joined the RCD in the summer of 2020, bringing diverse experience in restoration, forestry and fire. She holds a B.S. in Environmental Science with an emphasis in Ecological Restoration from Humboldt State University. Over the past seven years, she has worked as a field technician and firefighter for The National Park Service across eight different Parks, The Nature Conservancy, Lomakatsi Restoration Project, and the University of Washington on a wide range of native plant restoration and monitoring projects as well as ecological fuels reduction, prescribed fire, and fire research. Lyndsey brings both her technical knowledge for project implementation as well as experience in collaborative conservation work. She is excited to be on board with the RCD, working to restore the unique ecosystems of our region and help residents manage their lands to be more resilient to wildfires and our changing climate.
