Michael holds a B.S. in Environmental Science and Management from UC Davis with a concentration in Ecology. He joined the Shasta Valley RCD in July of 2022. In recent years, Michael has moved from park operations work for the State of California and County of San Mateo to fire and fuels work with the Six Rivers National Forest and Trinity County Resource Conservation District. With interests ranging from climate science to wildlife biology, Michael looks forward to contributing to forest health and improved ecosystem services on a landscape scale for Siskiyou County.
